I like to cook and bake things. But mostly eat the result.
I think pan pizza is the best and easiest pizza you can make at home in a residential oven. I make just about everything from scratch: the dough, the sauce and most toppings. I use store-bought low-moisture mozzarella, though I hear homemade mozzarella is not that hard. My goto pizzas are classic pepperoni and white sauce with caramelized onions.
I love sandwiches, and sourdough is my favorite sandwich bread, so I made some from scratch. It's a labor of love and at times felt like having a pet around. You have this gooey mess of flour, water, and natural yeast brewing in your pantry that you have to feed a few times a week. I adapted this recipe to suit my tastes/environment. After a few weeks of maintaining a starter, I was churning out beautiful, tasty loaves on the reg.
